A summary of the inspection <br /> is belo�v. <br /> Septic Tank Condition <br /> 1. Pumpout needed within one year(last pumpout date 11/8/95). <br /> The septic system is non-compliant due to a lack of a three foot separation distance between the bottom <br />� of the drainfield to the seasonally high watertable. The three foot requirement is a State Code, not a City <br /> Code. A soil boring was conducted to determine the depth of the seasonally watertable. The septic <br /> system must be replaced by December 31, 2010. <br /> Enclosed is a list of state licensed septic contractors who work in Orono on a regular basis. Also <br /> enclosed is a fact sheet eYplaining how a septic system functions properly.
