l
1 v IcyO C nC Rochester, Minnesota 55905 Telephone 507 284-251 1
Eduardo E. I had the opportunit_ to_ evaluate him in_ our Department of __
Neurology from March 12 through 37, 1990. Mr. Hollander has a five-month
history of relatively rapid orset of bilateral high-pitched tinnitus,
predominantly on the left. He had no other symptoms. His magnetic
resonance image scan of the head on 12/10/89 revealed multifocal areas of
increased T2 signal , consistent with multiple sclerosis. He came here for a
second opinion about this condition.
His neurologic evaluation was unremarkable except for skin
hyperpigmentation secondary to quinacrine. His visual evoked responses and
somatosensory evoked responses were within normal limits. After discussion
with Mr. Nollander, we decided to defer the cerebrospinal fluid examination
at the present time. If his symptoms worsen or if nEw sy-;toms develop, a
re-evaluation may be appropriate.
It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to participate in
Mr. Hollander's care. If you have any questions regarding his evaluation,
please do not hesitate to let me know.
Sincerely,
__ ,.
_ .
Eduardo .r"-Be ''_ E , .D.
-
EEB:ket
cc: Gary E.
