AMENDMENT TO POLICE SERGEANT LABOR AGREEMENT FOR 2009, Continued) <br /> <br />Franchot stated that point of view tends to be self-fulfilling since all cities increase their fees and that at <br />some point in the city’s discussion they should look at their expectations for staff and compensation. <br /> <br />Murphy moved, McMillan seconded, to approve the “Memorandum of Understanding Between the <br />City of Orono and Law Enforcement Labor Services (Local No. 168) – Supervisors” amending the <br />insurance contribution to $790.00 for 2009. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br /> <br />18. AMENDMENT TO PATROL OFFICER LABOR AGREEMENT FOR 2009 <br /> <br />Murphy moved, McMillan seconded, to approve the “Memorandum of Understanding Between the <br />City of Orono and Law Enforcement Labor Services (Local No. 40) – Patrol” amending the <br />insurance contribution to $790.00 for 2009. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br /> <br />19. 2009 NON-UNION COMPENSATION ADJUSTMENTS – RESOLUTION NO. 5818 <br /> <br />Murphy moved, McMillan seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5818, a Resolution Amending <br />Resolution No. 5793 Pay Plan Adjustments for Non-Union City Employees for 2009. VOTE: Ayes <br />5, Nays 0. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY’S REPORT <br /> <br />Mattick recommended the City hold hearings on whether the Casco Point street utility construction <br />project is viable. Mattick noted the City will not be seeking special assessments on this project and that <br />they need to hold public hearings in the near future. <br /> <br />Murphy asked whether Mattick is separating the utility rehab portion of the project from the burying of <br />the utilities. <br /> <br />Mattick stated he is. <br /> <br />*20.
