LICENSES AND PERMITS <br /> <br />Melanie DeLuca, Big Island Institute, addressed the City Council regarding the activities of the Big Island <br />Summer Institute that have been planned for 2009 and their license application. DeLuca stated the <br />students in the day camp typically spend four days on the island and participate in planned daily activities <br />each of those days for approximately four and a half hours a day rather than four. DeLuca requested their <br />application be amended to five hours rather than four hours. <br /> <br />McMillan moved, Franchot seconded, to amend the license permit to five hours from four hours for <br />the Orono Community Education, Big Island Institute Environmental Day Camp.
