FOREST LAKE DRIVE STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENTS, Continued) <br /> <br />Kellogg stated in order to secure the $2,000 grant from the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District; the City <br />will need to enter into a maintenance agreement with them which would require the City to maintain the <br />sump catch basins twice a year. The City would also receive a small benefit in the form of perhaps a <br />pound of phosphorus removal. <br /> <br />Franchot asked if this would be paid for out of the Storm Water Fund. <br /> <br />Olson stated it would come out of the Storm Water Fund. <br /> <br />Franchot moved, Printup seconded, to move forward with the Forest Lake Drive storm sewer <br />improvements, with the Orono Public Works Department providing the labor, and to direct Staff to <br />obtain the necessary easement for the storm water pipe. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br /> <br /> <br />*9. REQUEST FOR PAYMENT NO. 2 AND FINAL - NORTH FARM ROAD SANITARY <br />SEWER <br /> <br />Rahn moved, Franchot seconded, to approve Request for Payment No. 2 and final for the North <br />Farm Road Sewer Project, E.J. Mayers, in the amount of $1,602.12. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR/COUNCIL REPORT <br /> <br />Printup noted that approximately one week ago was Long Lake Corn Days, which was a success. <br /> <br />McMillan noted the Orono Police Department participated in the parade. <br /> <br />McMillan reported she attended the Xcel open house with Mike Gaffron and that Mike Gaffron has done <br />a good job writing up the City's comments regarding the environmental impacts as well as a number of <br />issues that have been raised. There were approximately three or four property owners who were also in <br />attendance. The environmental assessment will be finished in late October and then another open house <br />will be held in Orono to discuss the findings. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />*10. SAFE ASSURE COOPERATIVE SAFETY TRAINING AGREEMENT <br /> <br />Rahn moved, Franchot seconded, to approve the proposal from Safe Assure Consultants, Inc., for <br />conducting safety training and preparation of the related written programs and documentation at <br />an annual cost of $3,775.00.
