The mayors stated they were not sure what <br />benefit they will get from this regulation, particularly in light of the costs. <br /> <br />McMillan commented the watershed districts are basically telling the cities they need to do their own <br />analysis but that there is difficulty in trying to quantify nonpoint pollution versus point pollution. The <br />mayors also expressed a lot of concern with attempting to remedy those issues and the potential expense <br />involved. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />*9. LIQUIDATION OF FORFEITED VEHICLES <br /> <br />Franchot moved, Rahn seconded, to approve the liquidation of a 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle, $2000 <br />minimum bid, and a 2005 Dodge Caravan, $2000 minimum bid, through public bid process and/or <br />Minneapolis Auto Auction or similar business. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br /> <br />*10. POLICE OFFICER LABOR AGREEMENT FOR 2011-2013 <br /> <br />Franchot moved, Rahn seconded, to approve the Labor Agreement Between the City of Orono and <br />Law Enforcement Labor Services (Local No. 40) - Patrolmen 2011-2013. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />Mattick noted the variance legislation was signed into law and becomes effective May 6. Mattick stated <br />the new test for a variance is a little bit different but that it is somewhat similar to how the City used to <br />handle variances. Mattick indicated Staff will be updating the City's ordinances based on that new <br />legislation and that it is likely the City will be seeing more variance applications. <br /> <br /> <br />*11.
