MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />Monday, July 23, 2012 <br />5:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Lili McMillan, Council Members Cynthia Bremer, Doug Franchot, Aaron Printup and <br />Dave Rahn; representing Staff were City Administrator Jessica Loftus, Finance Director Ron <br />Olson and City Clerk Lin Vee <br /> <br /> <br />Council tentatively scheduled a work session to discuss the proposal to provide police service to Mound. <br />To accommodate schedules, the work session will be held Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 8:30 am. <br /> <br />Finance Director Ron Olson reviewed potential revenue sources and expenditures for 2013, including <br />expected increases and decreases. Council discussed the impact of increasing and decreasing revenues <br />and expenditures, as well as the tax levy required to fund the proposed budget. Council was provided <br />with a Budget Worksheet to use for decisions related to revenues and expenditures. <br /> <br />Discussion of the 2013 preliminary budget will continue at the August 27th work session with adoption of <br />the preliminary budget and tax levy at the September 10th Council meeting. <br /> <br />There were no comments regarding Information Update items. <br /> <br />The meeting closed at 6:58 p.m. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />________________________________________ _______________________________________ <br />Linda S.
