MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />Monday, June 25, 2012 <br />5:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Lili McMillan, Council Members Cynthia Bremer, Doug Franchot, Aaron Printup and <br />Dave Rahn; representing Staff were City Administrator Jessica Loftus, Police Chief Correy <br />Farniok, Finance Director Ron Olson and City Clerk Lin Vee <br /> <br /> <br />Chief Farniok reported that the Police Department received a request for a proposal to provide police <br />service to the City of Mound. Council briefly discussed the impacts of providing police service to the <br />Mound area. <br /> <br />Finance Director Olson reviewed the revenue and expenditure challenges for the 2013 budget. The <br />Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) was referenced and will continue to be included in budget discussions. <br />Council provided direction regarding budget priorities as staff prepares the preliminary budget to be <br />discussed at the July 23rd work session. <br /> <br />Council discussed the potential uses for the fund balance that was transferred to the Community <br />Investment Fund as approved at the May 29th Council meeting. <br /> <br />City Administrator Loftus summarized the complaint the city received regarding roosters. Council <br />directed staff to move forward with an ordinance amendment to prohibit roosters. <br /> <br />There were no comments regarding Information Update items. <br /> <br />The meeting closed at 6:53 p.m. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br />________________________________________ _______________________________________ <br />Linda S.
