Planning Commission packet dated �Vovember <br /> Background <br /> In their workshop on February 3, 2016,the Planning Commission heard from seven <br /> property owners commenting on the proposed vacatian rental ardinance. These seven <br /> are among the 12 vacation rentals owners identffied by staff after searching through the <br /> various vacation rental websites in December, including AirBnb, Homeaway,VBR�. <br /> Most of those comments respected the need for regulations, noting that they are more <br /> protective with their own home and property than the city would be, but did not want <br /> overly restrictive regulations. They did not support a total ban on vacation rentals. <br /> The draft ordinance prepared and reviewed includes provisions for a business license, <br /> and 15 criteria.
