MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />Monday, November 18, 2013 <br />6:30 o’clock p.m. <br />_____________________________________________________________________________________ <br />  <br />Page 35 of 35  <br />  <br />Curtis indicated the boat house was not part of the approval but the retaining walls and stairs were <br />approved. <br /> <br />Leskinen stated on November 12 there was quite a bit of discussion relating to the Northern Avenue <br />application as well as the application regarding the Lakeview Golf Course. The discussion on the <br />Northern Avenue application centered around the conservation easement and the need for a homeowners <br />association. The application was eventually approved on a 3-2 vote. <br /> <br />Leskinen indicated the discussion on the Lakeview application was lengthy and that the Lakeview <br />neighbors have circulated a petition and have formed a group to look at their options. <br /> <br />Gaffron noted there is a purchase agreement in effect for the golf course. <br /> <br />Leskinen stated the Lakeview application was ultimately tabled for 60 days. <br /> <br />Gaffron stated there is a special Council meeting scheduled for Monday, January 6, 2014, and that Staff <br />hopes to have some additional information from the developer as well as the neighborhood for what they <br />would like to see happen with the property. <br />Leskinen noted the City Council was not in favor of the RPUD concept and that they would prefer two- <br />acre lots. Concerns were raised about septic systems on anything less than a two-acre lot. <br /> <br />12.
