• � PC Exhibit D <br /> TO: MEMBERS OF ORONO CITY COUNCIL AND MELANIE CURTISS <br /> FROM: LIXIAO WANG <br /> SUBJECT: 13-3636 LIXIAO WANG 3059 FARVIEW LANE VARIANCES <br /> DATE: DECEMBER 2, 2013 <br /> The followings are the justification for garage addition (13-3636) <br /> 1. 9' garage addition requested was denied and 6' garage addition was recommended in <br /> November planning committee meeting. <br /> 2. I now take the recommendation and request 6' garage addition. <br /> 3. Our three cars (a SUV, a Truck and a Midsized Sedan) can not fit into current 2 garages. <br /> 4. The 12' and 9' one—level garage addition were proposed in October and November <br /> planning committee meeting. Reduction size/redesign is requested by the planning <br /> commission. 6' is now reduced. <br /> 5. The 6' is now the new design. After 6' addition the two garages can fit the SUV and <br /> Truck and the third car garage is 16.2' in length can just fit small sized two doors Sedan. <br /> The width of the garages cannot be changed due to integrity of the house building. We <br /> cannot reduce size anymore since the third car garage is no longer feasible. We prefer 10' <br /> addition if it can be approved by the city. <br /> 6. The one story garage is designed to consider not blocking my eastern neighbor's view. <br /> 7. The two garage addition (not current three garage addition) is considered and it is not <br /> feasible since it destroys the integrity of the house building. <br /> 8. The extension of garage to inside of house floor is considered and it is not feasible since <br /> the elevator near the garage blocks the inward extension. <br /> 9. The possibility of the garage addition was explored before purchase of the property. The <br /> answer from the city is that the garage addition is quite possible. This was one of the <br /> factors to justify purchase of the house. <br /> Thanks for all of you for considerations! <br />
