Design-Build project delivery <br /> While SEH can assist you with either delivery method, there are <br /> ' certain aspects of each approach, of�vhich you should be aware. <br /> Design-Bid-Build Delivery Method <br /> � In the traditional design-bid-build approach to water tank <br /> rehabilitation and maintenance, an engineer (such as SEH) would be <br /> ' chosen to assist the o�vner in the preparation of project plans, <br /> � specifications and bidding documents. The owner (typically with <br /> assistance from the engineer) would take those documents and put <br /> the tank maintenance project out for bid. <br /> �1�C <br /> _ ''_�,-.�-� Typically, maintenance projects are awarded to a contractor with the <br /> —� r�-�T/!' lowest responsive bid for the identified scope of work. By openly <br /> � � i � � �� bidding maintenance work, the project otvner then enters into a <br /> , � �� � contract with the lowest cost provider, usually with limited regard to <br /> � ��r�`�==�` ����� �� ( previous work quality or safety concerns. <br /> � � �� �� � <br /> z� �-� Upon the final completion of the tank rehabilitation project, the <br /> -- � owner is expected to pay the contractor in full for the services <br /> � `� � rendered.
