,.
Wetland A
Wetland A consisted of a Type 1 Seasonally Flooded Forest surrounded by an upland forest area.
Wetland A was found in the southwest corner of the investigation area located at 1080 Heritage
Lane (PID 1011723130006). Wetland A exists in a swale type feature which runs north/south
between the slope of Heritage Lane ditch and the higher topography to the east in the forested area.
A depression (Wetland A) was found within this swale feature causing water to settle and create a
wetland basin to support hydrophytic vegetation, hydrology, and hydric soils. A majority of the
wetland was saturated near the surface during the wetland delineation.
Recommendations
Activities impacting or potentially impacting the wetlands identified are regulated through several levels
of government in Minnesota:
• Federal: US Army Corps of Engineers: Permit Programs under Section 404 of the Clean Water
Act and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act
• Fedet'al: USDA NRCS: Wetland Conservation Provisions of the 1996 Farm Bill
• State of Minnesota: Minnesota Department of Natural Resources: Public Waters Work Permit
Program
• LOCaI: Local Units of Government (LGU) administer the Minnesota Wetland Conservation Act
(WCA) of 1991.
Please note that grading, excavating, or filling is not allowed until all necessary permits have been
obtained. If wetland impacts are proposed, ISG can assist in the proper steps to acquire the appropriate
permit or exemption. By initiating the permit process as soon as possible, potential costly delays to the
project may be avoided.
1080 & 1090 Heritage Lane Page 7
