We have the following comments with regards to engineering <br /> matters: <br /> • It appears that the proposed retaining wall on the south side of the house and driveway <br /> is approximately 8 feet high. Engineered design and details should be submitted for <br /> review and approval for all retaining walls over four in height, and for all tiered walls with <br /> a separation of less than two times the wall height. <br /> • The plans must show existing contours at least 50 feet on to the surrounding properties. <br /> • The 1024 through 1014 design contours simply do not tie into the existing contours <br /> along the north lot line and must be revised. When doing so, please note that any part <br /> of a retaining wail is not allowed in drainage and utility easements. <br /> • The grading plan should show the ditch and drainage patterns along Graham Hill Road. <br /> The current plan shows this area draining to the 3285 Graham Hill Road driveway. <br /> • This project will disturb more than 100 CY of material. Sediment and erosion control <br /> information meeting the requirements of Orono's City Code 79-7(c)(2) must be <br /> submitted.
