8186.9 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 23 . 2ND SERIES <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ORONO, MINNESOTA, AMENDING ORONO CITY <br /> CODE CAAPTER 2 ENTITLED "ADMINISTRATION AND GENERAL GOVERNMENT' <br /> AND ORDINANCE IdUMBER 8, 2ND SERIES BY CHANGING A PROVISION <br /> RELATING TO SALARIES OF THE MAYOR AND COONCIL MEMBERS; AND, BY <br /> ADOPTING BY REFERENCE ORONO CITY CODE CAAPTER 1 RELATING TO <br /> DEFINITIONS AND GENERAL PROVISIONS. <br /> TAE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORONO ORDAINS: <br /> Section 1. Orono City Code Sec. 2.17 is hereby amended , <br /> to read: <br /> SEC. 2. 17. SALARIES OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br /> Subd. 1. Salaries of the Mayor and Council <br /> meMbers, effective January 1, 1987, and which amounts are deemed <br /> reasonable, are hereby fixed as follows: <br /> A. The salary of the Mayor shall be $3 , 600.00 per <br /> year, paid monthly. <br /> B. The salary of each Council member shall be <br /> $2,900. 00 per year, paid monthly. <br /> Subd. 2. In accordance with Minnesota Statutes, <br /> Section 415.11, any changes in the foregoing shall be by <br /> ordinance and shall not take effect until after the next <br /> succeeding City election. <br /> Section 2. Orono City Code Chapter 1 entitled "General <br /> Provisions and Definitions Applicable to the Entire City Code <br /> Including Penalty for Violation" is hereby adopted in its <br /> entirety, by reference, as though repeated verbatim herein. <br /> Section 3.
