ORDINANCE NUl4BER 16, SECOND SERIES <br /> AN ORDINANCE ADDI�G TO THE DANGBROOS WBAPO�S AND ARTICLSS <br /> SBCTIONS OF THE O�ONO MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> The City Council of Orono Ordains As Follows: <br /> Chapter 9 of the Municipal Code of Orono is hereby <br /> amended by adding to Section 9. 10 , Subd 1 , (I ) to read as <br /> follows: <br /> Sec.9. 10 . DANGEROUS WEAPONS AND ARTICLES <br /> I. Possess , carry, transport, or control any <br /> knife or bladed instrument capable of cutting, stabbing <br /> or inj uring while on s chool property, in a s chool bus , <br /> or on public streets or sidewalks adj acent thereto <br /> except where such knives and bladed instruments are used <br /> in or as part of any instructional activity carried on in <br /> the school, used in the preparation or consumption of <br /> food in a lunchroom, or other place where food is custom- <br /> arily prepared or served, or when used as a tool by a <br /> person authorized to perform construction, repair or <br /> maintenance services on school property. <br /> This ordinance shall be effective upon adoption and <br /> publication. <br /> Adopted by the City Counci 1 of Orono on this 28th day of <br /> October, 1985, by a vote of 4 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> D othy M. allin, City Clerk Mary C. er, Mayor <br />
