ORDINANCE NO. 66 , SECOND SERIES <br /> AN pRDINANCE AMENDING S$CTION 2.05 OF ORDINANCE NIIMBER 2 ADOPTSD <br /> APRIL 1, 1984, AND BNTITLED 'AN ORDIHANCE RELATING TO COIINCIL <br /> pROCEDIIRES AT REGQI.AR MSETINGS.' <br /> The City Council or Orono ordains: <br /> Section 2.05 of Ordinance Number 2 adopted April 1 , <br /> 1984, and entitled "An Ordinance Relating to Council Procedure at <br /> Regular Meetings" is amended to read: <br /> COIINCIL PROCEDIIR$ AT RSGIILAR MEETINGS. The City Clerk shal 1 <br /> prepare the fol lowing items: (1) an agenda for the forthcoming <br /> meeting ; (2) a report from the City Administrator on <br /> administrative activities of the preceding month; (3) a compiled <br /> list of all claimants who have filed verified accounts claiming <br /> payment of goods or services rendered the City during the <br /> preceding month, such list to be called the "Claim Report" and <br /> bearing headings "Claimant", "Purpose", and "Amount"; and, (4) a <br /> copy of all minutes to be considered. The City Clerk shall <br /> forthwith cause to be delivered or mailed to the Mayor and each <br /> Council member copies of all said documents. Roberts' Rules of <br /> Order (Newly Revised) shall govern all Council meetings as to <br /> procedural matters not set forth in the City Code. The order of <br /> business at regular meetings shall be as follows: <br /> 1. Call to Order. <br /> 2. Roll Call. <br /> 3. Determination of Quorum. <br /> 4. Consent Agenda. Routine items approved on one <br /> motion in the absence of a request for discussion. <br /> 5. Approval of Minutes. (Actual reading shall be <br /> waived in the absence of demand for reading.) <br /> 6. Reports from Boards and Commissions. <br /> 7. Meeting Opened to the Public. The presiding officer <br /> shall limit the time allowed. Persons speaking <br /> shall give their name, address, and state their <br /> business. This shall be limited to items not <br /> already on the agenda. <br /> 8. Report by Zoning Administrator. <br /> 9. Report by City Engineer. <br /> 10. Reports of Mayor and Council Members. <br /> 11. Report by City Administrator. <br /> 1 <br />
