_ � . ,, <br /> ORDINANCE NUMBER 9, SECOND SERIES <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PERFORMANCE STANDARDS TO THE <br /> NON-ENCROACHMENT AND ACCESSORY STRQCTURE SECTIONS OF THE ORONO <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> The City Council of Orono Ordains As Follows: <br /> SECTION l. Chapter 10 of the Municipal Code of Orono is <br /> hereby amended by amending Sections 1�1.03 Subdivision 15 (C) , (D) , <br /> (E) , (F) and 10. 22 Subdivision 1 to read as fol lows: <br /> SSCTION 10.H3 <br /> Subdivision 15 Non-Encroachments <br /> C. Fences which do not exceed 3-1/2 feet in height, fences not <br /> over six feet in height along the street lot line of lake <br /> frontage lots which front on a major thoroughfare, if fill is <br /> required, the total combined height of both fence and fill shall <br /> not exceed 6 feet above the height of the crown of the road, <br /> terraces, steps, uncovered porches, stoops or similar structures, <br /> which do not extend above the height of the ground floor level of <br /> the principal building and extend to a distance of not less than <br /> two feet from any lot line. <br /> D. In side or rear yards only, bays not to exceed a depth of two <br /> feet nor to contain an area of more than twenty square feet, fire <br /> escapes not to exceed a width of three feet, fences and wal ls not <br /> to exceed a height of six feet above original grade and open off <br /> street parking except for lakeshore lots, no fence or wall over <br /> forty-two inches but not in excess of seventy-two inches in <br /> height above original grade may be located closer to the <br /> shoreline than the average distance from the shoreline of <br /> existing residence buildings on adjacent lots, such fences shall <br /> not be constructed within 75 feet of the shoreline. <br /> E. Rear yard only; balconies, breezeways, detached outdoor <br /> picnic shelters and recreational equipment except as regulated <br /> hereinafter; no accessory structure shall be closer than five <br /> feet from a rear lot line nor shall a fence or wall constructed <br /> within a rear yard exceed a height of six feet above original <br /> grade. <br /> F. Side yards only; no accessory structure shall be closer than <br /> ten feet from any side lot line nor shall a fence or wall <br /> constructed within a side yard exceed a height of six feet above <br /> original grade. <br /> SECTION 18.22. Regulations for One Family Lakeshore Resi- <br /> dential Districts. <br /> Subdivision 1. Lakeshore Set Back Regulations.
