Calculations <br /> for the wall design were not submitted for review. Plans should state the design <br /> complies with safety factor and building code requirements. <br /> Plans indicate wall design only addresses internal stability. External stability including <br /> but not limited to foundation settlement, global/slope stability is not addressed by the <br /> wall design Engineer. It is recommended the Owner review the proposed design with <br /> the Owners Engineer and determine whether or not external stability analysis is <br /> appropriate. The Owner/Contractor shall be aware of and follow the suggested <br /> general notes and quality assurance provisions noted on the wall design Engineer's <br /> plan. <br /> A site plan showing the wall layout relative to boundaries, buildings and other site <br /> features were provided. Wall layout, notes and details of construction were submitted. <br /> Plans indicate the design was prepared by a professional engineer and content <br /> appears to meet industry standards for this type of work. <br /> Detailed Review: <br /> At your request, we reviewed of the retaining wall submittal for the above referenced <br /> project for compliance with the code requirements and industry standards.
