We
have the following comments with regards to engineering matters:
• The plan states that the proposed floor elevations should be verified. We recommend that home
be constructed at the proposed elevations on the plan. It is critical to maintain the basement at
996.4 to establish two feet of free board from the storm sewer pond emergency overflow.
• This lot was allowed approximately 1180 square feet of wetland buffer impact. The boundaries for
the impact area should be established with signs prior to grading, protected with silt fence and
monitored during construction, and reviewed at final lot grading. At a minimum the signs should
be installed at the intersection of the buffer and north and south lot lines, and at each corner of
the buffer or impact area. This would be six signs in total. A standard detail for the sign is
attached.
• If the un-impacted wetland buffer area has not been established by a native upland seed mixture,
the applicant should be required to submit a planting plan and install approved plantings.
• The applicant should not be allowed to sod any of the un-impacted wetland buffer area.
If you have any questions, please call me at(651) 604-4894.
Yours very truly,
-J — ---`--
Darren Amundsen
Cc: Tom Kellogg
