I do not have the ability to approve/accept an as-built plan that does not conform <br /> to the setbacks without the Council's approval of a setback variance. <br /> The City asked for but did not require an updated survey for just the deck construction part of the project as the survey <br /> for the home construction was very recent. Your permit application contained a sketch of the proposed deck on a reduced <br /> copy of the approved home permit survey. You could have chosen to re-survey and stake the proposed deck as is always <br /> recommended, however this deck was permitted based on the best information (existing survey and deck plans) to save <br /> you the cost of additional survey work.
