<br /> <br /> REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />DATE: August 22, 2016 <br />ITEM NO: 8 <br />Department Approval: Administrator Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />Name Jeremy Barnhart JML Planning <br />Title Community Development Director <br />Item Description: 16-3832, City of Orono, Lurton Park Variances <br />Application Summary <br />The Council directed staff to draft a resolution granting a variance to the wetland and lake yard <br />setbacks at their meeting on July 11th. This motion was approved 4-1, with the Mayor voting no. <br />At that same meeting, the Council directed certain changes to the final plan, to be reviewed at an <br />upcoming meeting. The Council also directed the City Engineer complete a delineation of the <br />wetlands on the property, these wetlands are incorporated into the final plan, and are generally <br />consistent with the boundaries identified by staff. <br /> <br />As directed, the plan has been modified, and are shown in Exhibit B. The resolution formally <br />approving the variance is attached at Exhibit A. <br /> <br />Action Requested: <br />Approve by motion the resolution as drafted. <br /> <br />List of Exhibits: <br />Exhibit A.
