June 20, 2016 <br />City of Orono <br />Attn: Adam Edwards <br />PO Box 66 <br />Orono, Mn 55323 <br />RE: Stormwater Pond Assessment <br />Dear Adam: <br />As requested, we have prepared a scope of services and fee estimate for completing a Stormwater Pond <br />Assessment for the City. Based on our understanding of the project, we propose the following scope of <br />work: <br />Stormwater Pond Assessment – Long Lake (LL) and Tanager Lake (TL) Subwatersheds <br />Coordinate and meet with City as necessary to review and discuss Pond Assessment procedures <br />and results. <br />Establish location of all stormwater ponds within subwatersheds on City Parcel Maps through <br />review of City Maps, Record Drawings, and visual inspection. <br />Establish location of City maintained stormwater ponds within subwatersheds with GIS <br />coordinates. <br />Delineate watersheds for City maintained stormwater ponds. <br />Define watershed characteristics for City maintained stormwater ponds. Characteristics shall <br />include impervious surface percentage, time of concentrations, areas, and soil types. <br />Define pond characteristics for City maintained stormwater ponds. Characteristics shall include <br />design permanent volume, estimated existing permanent volume, outlet design, normal water <br />level, and high water level. <br />Prepare initial rating of City maintained stormwater ponds within subwatersheds as defined in <br />City’s Pond Assessment Program <br />Prepare recommendations for pond bathymetric surveys to establish accurate existing permanent <br />volumes based on initial ratings and discussions with City. <br />Provide layer on City’s GIS mapping for data generated from pond assessments. <br />Assumptions <br />Long Lake (LL) and Tanager Lake (TL) Subwatersheds are accurately delineated in the City’s <br />Surface Water Management Plan dated January 2011. <br />No Maps or Plans will be generated as part of this proposal. <br />No surveys will be performed as part of this proposal. <br />Wetland delineation services will not be required.
