The purpose of this action item is to gain Council authorization for the solicitation of bids <br />for the maintenance project for Hunter and Tamarack Roads. <br /> <br />2. Background At the April 25th Work Session the Council indicated a desire to address maintenance <br />issues on Hunter and Tamarack Roads during the 2016 Construction Season. The 2014 Pavement <br />Management Plan identified Hunter and Tamarack as rated eligible for mill and overlay. Since <br />that time both roads have continued to deteriorate and now requires some additional work to <br />restore the roadways to an acceptable condition. <br /> <br />3. Scope of Work. See Exhibit A <br />a. Tamarack includes reclamation work in the low portion of the road with a new 4” surface. The remainder <br />of the road will be resurfaced with a 2” mill and overlay. <br /> <br />b. Hunter Drive will be resurfaced with a 2” mill and overlay. The most distressed portions of the road will <br />be patched before paving. <br /> <br />4. Cost. The engineers estimate for the project is $126,500. These estimates included costs for <br />Bolton & Menk to assist in creating the plans / specification and project inspection. <br /> <br />5. Funding.
