CERTIFICATION OF HAZARDOUS BUILDING COSTS – RESOLUTION NO. 6456, <br />Continued) <br /> <br />Mattick indicated it would be Lyle Oman, the Building Official. <br /> <br />Pagonis asked if in theory she could apply for a building permit tomorrow. <br /> <br />Mattick stated she could. <br /> <br />Pagonis asked if the demolition could be finished first and then have the costs assessed to her taxes. <br /> <br />Mattick stated it has been represented that all of that work has been completed and that the demolition has <br />already been paid for and there will be no additional costs. <br /> <br />Pagonis asked if the City would be willing to remove the pilings this year. <br /> <br />Mattick indicated he is unaware of whether a barge could still go out to the site, but that it is his <br />understanding all the work has been completed and the debris removed. <br /> <br />Pagonis stated the pilings have not been removed. <br /> <br />Mattick stated Staff will look into that but that it will not impact the amount being assessed. <br /> <br />Pagonis asked if that would impact her rights to rebuild. <br /> <br />Mattick stated the removal of the pilings would not impact that. Mattick stated she would have one year <br />to replace the structure with something in kind. <br /> <br />Pagonis asked what code he is referring to. <br /> <br />Mattick indicated that would fall under the law on non-conformities and that the City’s Zoning Code <br />would contain that information. <br /> <br />Pagonis asked when the one year would start. <br /> <br />Mattick indicated it would start from the date of demolition. <br /> <br />Pagonis asked when the demolition occurred. <br /> <br />Mattick stated he would have Lyle provide that information tomorrow. <br /> <br />Pagonis asked if he has any idea when it occurred. <br /> <br />Mattick stated to his knowledge it was approximately three weeks to one month ago. <br /> <br />McMillan suggested Pagonis check with the City Inspector tomorrow or City Staff. <br /> <br />
