RECOGNITION OF PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR DON DEBAERE – RESOLUTION <br />NO. 6429 <br /> <br />Levang moved, Bremer seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 6429, a Resolution Recognizing <br />Don DeBaere for his Eighteen Years of Dedicated Service to the City as Public Works Employee <br />and Supervisor. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br /> <br /> <br />*14. RECOGNITION OF CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANT BARB SILUS – <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6430 <br /> <br />Levang moved, Bremer seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 6430, a Resolution Recognizing <br />Barb Silus for her Twelve Years of Dedicated Service to the City as a Customer Service Assistant. <br />VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br /> <br /> <br />*15. PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR/CITY ENGINEER <br /> <br />Levang moved, Bremer seconded, to appoint Adam Edwards to the position of Public Works <br />Director/City Engineer. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br /> <br /> <br />*16. PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR <br /> <br />Levang moved, Bremer seconded, to appoint Tim Amundsen to the position of Public Works <br />Supervisor. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br /> <br /> <br />17. LETTER TO MINNEHAHA CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT (MCWD) <br /> <br />McMillan stated she and the City Administrator have drafted a letter to the Minnehaha Creek Watershed <br />District regarding broadcasting their meetings. McMillan stated she has become aware that Spring Park <br />has also sent a letter requesting the same thing, which brings the total to six. <br /> <br />Levang stated she likes the letter but that she had a question regarding the word consider in the last <br />sentence of the first paragraph. Levang indicated she is okay with the word consider, but asked whether a <br />stronger word could possibly be used. <br /> <br />McMillan indicated she is okay with the letter as it is currently worded. <br /> <br />Levang noted Orono does not have the power to make them broadcast their meetings but that they do <br />have the power to try to influence that. Levang stated she is fine with the letter if the rest of the Council <br />is okay with it. <br /> <br /> <br />
