The standard was review8d, and tests <br /> PerfoRned by PS! meet the requtrements of ASTM F1346-g1, The fo(lowi�g is a report issued by PSl <br /> to Cover Pools, Inc. are of Poof Cover Safety tests which meet Ehe criter'ra of ASTM F1346-91 (formeriy <br /> � ASTM ES13). <br /> Qn May 31, 1990, a representabye of Frofessional Service Industries was at the Carporate Offrces of <br /> Cover-Poots, lnc, located at�69 E�st 3335 South, 8alt l.ake City, Utah 84115, to pertorm safety <br /> requirements tests on Caver-Poo(s, lna,Save-T-Caver il safety covers. The salety tests perfiormed were <br /> in accordance with ASTM ES 13, Emergency Standard PerfoRr,ance Specification for Safety Covers and <br /> Labeling Requiremerrts for atJ coyers fir Swimming Pools, Saas and Hot Tubs. <br /> A 16' x 32' pQo1 was ioqted at,the Corporate Offices of Cover-Pools, inc. The poo( was equipped with <br /> an under track Cover-Pooi safety cover and top tradc (universa!) Cover•-Pool safety cover. The tracki»g <br /> systems were connected to a redwood deck, with the connec6ans at two feet on center alo�g the length <br /> of the deck. The safety cover fabric used in the ur�der tracic system had a pr�ysica! property ot 16.2 <br /> oz/sq. yd. The safety cover fabric us�d in the top track system had a physical property of 13.2 oz/sq. <br /> yd. <br /> STATIC LOAO TEST <br /> The stadc load test was conducted on both Cover-Pool safety covers in accordance with <br /> sectlon 9.1 of AS7M ES �3. The weights nsed we� weighed using a cal,'�rated scaJe <br /> which is traceable to the National Bureau of Siandards. The three weights used each <br /> had an area of one square foot One weight weighed 5i.0 tbs., one 210.1 ibs, and one <br /> 226.3 Ibs. The tota! weight used for the siatic load tests was 487.4 lbs. Three points <br /> were tested for static load on each Caver-Poo! safety cover.
