REPLACEMENT OF PORTABLE GENERATOR <br /> Levang moved,Printup seconded,to accept the quote from Allied Generators in the amount of <br /> $32,751.84 for the replacement of a portable generator. VOTE: Ayes 4,Nays 0. <br /> *11. ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR REST POINT AND TONKAWA FORCEMAINS <br /> Levang moved,Printup seconded,to authorize engineering services to replace sanitary sewer force <br /> main on Rest Point Road and Tonkawa Road with Bolton& Menk for a not-to-exceed amount of <br /> $18,900. VOTE: Ayes 4,Nays 0. <br /> *12. APPOINTMENT OF 2013 GOLF COURSE EMPLOYEE <br /> Levang moved,Printup seconded,to approve the hiring of James Erlandson as a seasonal employee <br /> with a starting pay rate of$8.48 for the 2013 season. VOTE: Ayes 4,Nays 0. <br /> MAYOR/COUNCIL REPORT <br /> Levang reported there was a LMCC/JPA meeting that was well attended. Levang indicated there is no <br /> information regarding the franchise agreement. <br /> Printup noted SummerFest is this weekend and that there is also an all-class Orono reunion being held <br /> this weekend. <br /> Bremer noted there is a police commission meeting scheduled for this Wednesday and that she will report <br /> back in two weeks. <br /> McMillan stated the streetlight survey will go online this week and that it appears Navarre will be getting <br /> a raised median and crosswalk with a flashing beacon light. MN/DOT has decided to use the location of <br /> the existing crosswalk. McMillan noted they had originally wanted to move it a little bit east but the <br /> residents commented on it and persuaded them to leave the crosswalk in its present location. <br /> McMillan reported she did visit the Forest Lake Homeowners Dock Association. Back in November of <br /> 2011,the City's Public Works Department dredged the area and put in a new pipe. McMillan indicated <br /> one of the property owners had asked her to view the work and that he indicated he was happy with the <br /> work that was completed. McMillan stated the water that is coming out of the pipe is very clear due to <br /> the addition of some water filters. <br /> CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> Loftus noted Pam Meyers and the Westonka Historical Society will be hosting an open house on June 15 <br /> and is open to the public from 9:00 to 2:00 p.m. The open house will be held at their new location in the <br /> Mound City Hall. <br /> Loftus stated on June 20, a local historian and author,Paul Margolis, is going to be doing a presentation <br /> on the history of Big Island at the South Shore Center in Shorewood. <br /> Loftus noted the streetlight survey is already on the website and is available for people to complete. <br /> Page 31 of 32 <br />
