; This system is designed for a Type 1, four bedroom home and in accordance
• with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency standards WPC 40 and local
ordinances.
- ='- The soils on this site are typical of SCS soils mapped - HeB - Heyder
sandy loam. A seasonally high water table was located at 34", 36", " `'
, 38", b S8", (mottling) . Due to the seasonally high water table, a -
• + 'v;- pressurized mound system will need to be installed. The bottom of the ` - ' '
`' `` rock bed must be located at least 3' above the seasonally high water " t''
table. .
The soils at a depth of 12" b 18" have a percolation rate averaging 8.9
min/inch and are adeyuate for treating septic effluent. The percolation
tests were completed 6-26-84.
A pumping chamber will need to be installed to lift the effluent to the
treatment area.
- The manifold and supply line pipe must have back drainage to the pumping
` .:.K chamber. The distribution pipes shall have their ends capped. Be sure {;#?,,
The power supply and switches must be located outside the manhole and
_ pUmping chamber in a weather proof enclosure. A warning device mut be
installed with a light and sound device, this is :n case of a pump failure.
a
(Mercury floats are a good method) .
All neighboring wells are located more than 100' away from the proposed
treatment area.
Keep all heavy equipment off of the proposed treatment area bzfore and
after construction as much as possible. The treatment area should be
marked off before construction. '
With p'roper installation and maintenance, this system should have no '
' It is recommended. that the septic tanks be pumped every 2 years.
