Co., Mf� <br /> A Compliance inspection was completed for fihe exisfiing on-site sewage treatment <br /> systerr� located on this property for the sale of the home. The system cansists of 2� <br /> 1000 gallon septic tanks with a trench system. The existing trenches have <br /> aproximately 360 linf.ft, 960sq.ft.built in 1985 far a 5 bedroom home, An Infierceptor <br /> Drain was installed upslope & 3' lower than the high�st trench. <br /> Soil boring #1 & 2 were completed between the highest trench & Interceptor Drain. Soil <br /> boring #1 found a layer of loamy silty �ine sand at �8" ta 60" with fair�t mottles below <br /> this layer 8� no mottling present to a depth of 8'. Soil boring #2 fiound a 6" layer afi 90" <br /> fio 96" vvith faint mottled but no mottling to a depth of 8'6". The bottom of the highest <br /> trench was found 3'3' to 3.5' belovv grade �n►ith a gre�fier thara 3' separation. Soil boring <br /> #3 found distinct mottled soil (redox features) at elevation $4.6 &the bo�tom of fihe <br /> trench at elev. $9.5 with a greater than 3' separation. The Intercepfior Drain �nrill assure <br /> fihe banded zone of mottles in soil boring #1 & 2 will be drained if saturafiion would <br /> occur. <br /> The tanks were pumped by Sullivan Utilitiy Service &were found to be compliant at this <br /> time. <br /> Nothing other than gray water (laundry, showers, etc,) human vuas#e &toilet tissue <br /> should be disposed of in#o the septic tanks. Garbage disposals are not recommended, <br /> due to adding more solids 8� fine solids passing through to the system. Recommend to <br /> divert iron �Iters out of th� system, recommend to divert the water softner also if <br /> diverting th� iron fllter. Excessiue amownts of soaps, antibacteriaf soaps, cleaning <br /> agents, shower cleaners used every shower & chlorine agents may kill the bacteria <br /> needed to treat septic effluent. Additives are not recommended. <br />
