Method 2—Cut Stump Treatment . � . <br /> 1. Cut stump treatment shall be used on buckthorn with trunks greater than 1.5"measured at <br /> ground leveL <br /> 2. Cut buckthorn as close as possible to ground level and mark with colored wire flag for <br /> future identification and treatment. <br /> 3. Apply glyphosate, Garlon or Rodeo chemical herbicide to cut stump surface, bark <br /> exposed above ground, and roots exposed above ground using paint brush, wick <br /> ` applicator or low-volume sprayer. Glyphosate, Garlon or Rodeo chemical herbicide to be <br /> minimum strength of 10.0%. <br /> Method 3 —Girdling(Frill Cut)Treatment <br /> 1. Girdling treatment may be used on buckthorn with trunks greater than 3"measured at <br /> ' ground level. <br /> 2. Cut a frill around entire circumference of trunk as close as possible to ground level. <br /> 3. Apply glyphosate, Garlon, or Rodeo chemical treatment to entire frill cut and adjacent <br /> bark surface using paint brush,wick applicator or low-volume sprayer.
