Zoning—District Provisions <br /> (d) The height from the lowest ground level (and eight feet out) to the eave shall be no <br /> greater than 30 feet;and <br /> (e) There sha11 be a two story height limitation at the driveway or point of access to the <br /> residence. <br /> Subd. 8. Animal Unit Density Standards. � <br /> (a) The purpose of the following animal density standards are to promote and preserve <br /> the natural resources within the City of Medina by regulating the keeping of <br /> livestock. Erosion as a result of overgrazing and leeching of manure into <br /> groundwater have adverse and potentially irreversible impacts on water quality <br /> and environmentally sensitive lands. <br /> (b) Livestock or traditional farm animals are permitted on properties two acres or larger <br /> at a maximum density of one animal unit for the first two Grazable Acres of land <br /> and one additional animal unit for each Grazable Acre of land thereafter. For <br /> properties less than two acres,the maximum number of animal units shall be 0.1 <br /> (c) Property owners shall be responsible for management and proper disposal of all <br /> animal waste. <br /> (d)The number of permitted animals shall be determined by the following table: <br /> TYPE OF A1vIMAL ANIMAL UNITS <br /> One mature cow, over 1,000 lbs. 1.4 <br /> One mature cow,under 1,0001bs. 1.0 <br /> One cow and calf air 1.2 <br /> One calf �•2 <br /> One slau hter steer 1.0 <br /> One head of feeder cattle or heifer 0.7 <br /> One ho /swine over 3001bs. 0.5 <br /> One ho /swine under 300 but reater than 55 lbs. 0.3 <br /> One ho /swine under 55 lbs. 0.05 <br /> One mature horse/mule/donke 1.0 <br /> One mature horse with foal air 1.5 <br /> One foal 0.5 <br /> One shee /lamb/ oat 0.1 <br /> One llama or al acas 0.5 <br /> One domestic chicken/duck or similar fowl 0.01 <br /> The number of animal units for animals that are not listed <br /> above shall be determined by taking the average weight of <br /> the animal in ounds and dividin it b 1000 ounds. <br /> (e) Animal units in excess of those pernutted above may be allowed by conditional use <br /> permit, subject to the conditions of Section 826.98 Subd. 2 (o) of this ordinance. <br /> 826.
