• <br />• <br />• <br />MINUTES OF THE CANVASSING BOARD MEETING <br />HELD NOVEMBER 6, 1996 AT 4:00 P.M. <br />ROLL <br />The Council met as the Canvassing Board on the above date and time in the Orono Council <br />Chambers. The following members were present: Acting Mayor Jabbour, Councilmembers <br />Goetten and Kelley. Mayor Callahan and Councilmember Hurr were absent. The following <br />represented city staff: City Clerk Hallin and Deputy Clerk Vee. <br />Acting Mayor Jabbour called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. <br />Council members were given results of the November 5, 1996 General Election. (copies <br />attached) <br />Councilmember Goetten moved, Acting Mayor Jabbour seconded to certify the results of the <br />November 5, 1996 municipal election as follows: <br />MAYOR - Two Year Term <br />Gabriel Jabbour receiving 3,214 votes <br />COUNCILMEMBERS - Elect Two for 4 Year Terms <br />Charles Kelley <br />Barbara Peterson <br />William Dampier <br />John Serena <br />Richard N. Flint <br />Write In <br />Write In <br />Vote: 3 Ayes, 0 nays. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />receiving 1,997 votes <br />receiving 1,858 votes <br />receiving 355 votes <br />receiving 606 votes <br />receiving 1,596 votes <br />receiving 25 votes <br />receiving 9 votes <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Kelley to adjourn the Canvassing Board meeting at 4:15 <br />p.m. Vote: 3 Ayes, 0 nays. <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />Gabri 1 Jabbour, Actin Mayor <br />
