Memorandum �Bonestroo <br /> Date: 2335 Highway 36 W <br /> To: Melanie Curtis Project: 3320 Fox Street 10/17/20 st.Paui,MN 55113 <br /> �� Te1651-636-4600 <br /> Fax651-636-1311 <br /> From: John Smyth Client: Orono <br /> - -- www.bonestroo.com <br /> Re: Wetland Ordinance Compliance Check File No: 139-07000 <br /> Remarks: <br /> A follow-up compliance check for 3320 Fox Street was completed on October 17,2007 to <br /> determine if the CO can be granted to the property owner. <br /> The buffer currently contains dense vegetation and is acceptable under the wetland ordinance. <br /> The rainwater garden has been installed at the discharge point of the drainage swale. The <br /> rainwater garden is currently functioning more like a wetland treatment system due to the clay <br /> soils reducing infiltration rates. In this case it appears to be providing the water quality <br /> treatment intended. Photo documentation of the buffer and rainwater garden is provided on <br /> the following pages. <br /> The CO can be granted for the property. The homeowner should be made aware that there are <br /> some small spots of thistle that occur within the buffer that should be treated before they <br /> become a nuisance. There are also a number of maintenance activities that could occur in the <br /> buffer to support the development of native vegetation and enhance the appearance and <br /> function of the buffer.
