A summary of the inspection <br /> is belo«�. <br /> Septic Tank Condition <br /> 1. Pumpout not needed at this time. <br /> The septic system is non-compliant due to a lack of a three foot separation distance between the bottom <br /> of the drainfield to the seasonally high�vatertable. The three foot requirement is a State Code, not a City <br /> Code. A soil boring was conducted to determine the depth of the seasonally watertable. The septic <br /> svstem must be replaced no later than December 31,2010. It is recommended that you contact the City <br /> �vhen making plans to upgrade the septic system such that City Staff will be able to explain all the <br /> options available to you. <br /> Enclosed is a list of state licensed septic contractors who work in Orono on a regular basis. Also <br /> enclosed is a fact sheet explaininb how a septic system functions properly.
