Applications for septic system permits may be mailed or submitted in person at the Ciry <br /> Off'ices; however, permits will not be mailed out. The permit must be picked up in person <br /> at the City Offices and work must not begin unless the permit card is on the job site. <br /> 2. Permits �vill be i�sued only to contractors holdinQ a Vlinnesota Pollution Control <br /> Agency(N1PCA) Septic System Instailers License. <br /> 3. All work must be done in accordance with the approved septic system desiQn. Desijn reports <br /> are not considered approved unless accompanied by the "City of Orono Septic System <br /> Approval" cover sheet si�ned by the City Inspector. <br /> 4. The followinQ inspections will be required for all septic systems: <br /> A. Pre-installation site inspection to include inspector, installer, and Qeneral contractor. <br /> B. Tank installation prior to coverinQ. <br /> C. Drainfield trench installation prior to coverinQ. For mounds, inspection is required after <br /> rouah up but prior to sand placement (sand wi11 be jar tested for silt content), and again <br /> during pressure distribution pipin� installation in the rock bed. <br /> I3. Final inspection ta verify proper final cover depths and to ti'erify that all pump stations <br /> (�vhere required j components are iunctionai anu cuixip;y �vith codes. <br /> �.
