Inspection Report for Subsurface Septic System
PREPARED BY:
L " Chip's Septic Service LLC.
\" Pernel "Chip" Hentges
x 16762 Babcock Ave.
/ r Lester Prairie, MN 55354
  ' 952-2003176
Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Individual Sewage
Treatment System License No. 2064
For:
Peter Eckerline
2555 Fox Street
Orono, MN 55391
This compliance inspection was completed on April 23, 2012. The site has an existing
on-site sewage treatment system consisting of(2) 1000 gallon pre-cast septic tanks, (1)
1000 gallon pump tank, +- 350 feet of rock trenches. The tanks were pumped at the time
of inspection and meet compliance. Owner has indicated that tanks were pumped on a
regular basis.
Under the MPCA's Agency Rules and Standards, Chapter 7080, and the City of Orono
Septic System Ordinance, this system is considered non-conforming and will be required
to be up-gaded within 3 years from the date of inspection. The system failed due to the
lack of separation (3' feet) from the bottom of the rock trenches to the identified seasonal
watertable.
The system is a fully functioning system, and with normal use should have no problem
handling the waste from a single family home until the system is updated within a time
frame of 3 years.
References:
Home Sewage Treatment, University of Minnesota Agriculture Extension Service
Dave Gustavson, Extension Engineer
And
City of OronoSeptic System Ordinance
And
Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Rules and Standards, Chapter 7080
If you should have any questions or need further information, you can contact staff at the
City or me at you convenience.
Sinc
Pernel "Chip"Hentges
