December 31, 2009 <br /> City of Orono <br /> Finance Department <br /> RE: Overpayment on Permit#2009-00803 for 2400 Fox Street <br /> Charles Cudd LLC, submitted a permit application for a new home valued at $3,300,000 in November <br /> and prepaid a Plan Review Fee of$9,851.89 (See Exhibit A). <br /> Along the way the permit valuation changed to$3,250,000 per the contractor. The new plan review fee <br /> would have been $9,721.89 (See Exhibit B). Since this plan review was already entered and issued back <br /> in November when the permit was dropped off, they were only picking up and paying for the permit <br /> itself. <br /> This permit was entered in the computer correctly based off the new valuation. However, it wasn't <br /> adjusted to reflect the difference they had already paid, on the plan review. We adjusted the $130.00 <br /> difference on the base permit fee.
