LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT DECISION , Date of Decision: 10/5/10 �Approved ❑Approved with conditions(include below) ❑Denied LGU Findings and Conclusions(attach additional sheets as necessary): The wetland boundary delineated by Svoboda Ecological Resources at 1925 Fox St. in the city of Orono (PID#03-117-23-43-0002)on July 7,2010 was reviewed in the field on September 20,2010 by Minnehaha Creek Watershed District staff. The wetland area was identified as a Type 3 PEMF(shallow marsh)wetland. The dominant vegetation within the wetland consisted primarily of cattail and reed canary grass. The data sheets provided indicated the presence of Sagittaria latifolia(broad leaved arrowhead)at both the upland and wetland sample points,but this species was not observed at either location in the field. The boundary with upland was characterized by a fairly abrupt change in elevation &a transition to primarily non-hydrophitic vegetation. The boundary as flagged in the field and labeled in the delineation report submitted on August 4,2010 is accepted by the MCWD. This decision is valid for 3 years.
