ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MINUTES FOR OCTOBER 26, 1998 <br />• (No Parking Area at Crystal Bay Post Office, Continued) <br />Gappa remarked he will look into the possibility of relocating the mail boxes and report back <br />to the City Council. <br />( #23) NON - RESIDENTIAL SANITARY SEWER CHARGES - RESOLUTION <br />NO. 4188 <br />Gappa reviewed his October 22, 1998 memorandum regarding sanitary sewer billing for <br />commercial and industrial accounts in Navarre. Staff is recommending that the billing method <br />for sanitary sewer be changed so it will be similar to the method used for <br />non - residential accounts in the Highway 12 area, which is based on the amount of metered <br />water actually used. <br />Jabbour moved, Peterson seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 4188, a Resolution <br />Establishing Procedures for Sanitary Sewer Billing. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT, CONTINUED <br />• *( #24) APPOINTMENT OF ADDITIONAL 1998 GENERAL ELECTION JUDGES - <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4189 <br />Flint moved, Peterson seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 4189, a Resolution <br />Appointing Additional Election Judges for the General Election to be Held November 3, <br />1998. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />( #25) ESTABLISH DATE AND TIME FOR CANVASSING BOARD MEETING <br />Mayor Jabbour stated a work session has been scheduled for Wednesday, November 4 at 9:00 <br />a.m. <br />Jabbour moved, Peterson seconded, to schedule Wednesday, November 4, at 9:00 <br />a.m., for the canvassing board meeting. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />( #26) CERTIFICATION OF DELINQUENT UTILITIES AND GENERAL SERVICE <br />FEES - RESOLUTION NO. 4190 <br />Goetten commented that the amount of delinquent utility and general service fees are rather <br />high, and inquired whether the City is actively pursuing collection of these delinquent fees. <br />Gappa stated the delinquent fees and interest are added to the tax rolls for the property <br />. associated with the delinquent fees. <br />25 <br />
