Co. , MN <br /> This On-Site Sewage Treatment System is Designed for a Type l, three <br /> bedroom home and discharge from an iron filter adding an additional <br /> bedroom totaling four bedroom home. Designed in accordance with the <br /> Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Chapter 7080 and local �ordinances . <br /> This site has an existing failing system�with effluent backing up into <br /> the basement. The existing system is in a high water table & strong <br /> clay soil & is also located less than 75 ' from the wetland to the <br /> south . The system will need to be abandoned & replac�d with a <br /> new one. <br /> The soils on this site are SCS soils mappcd - KkB - Kilkenny loarn. <br /> A seasonally high water table �aas located at 28" , 30" & 36" , <br /> (mottled soil ) . Due to the seasonally high water table, a Pressurized <br /> Mound System will need to be installed. Tne bottom oF the rock bed <br /> must be located at least 3 ' above the seasonally high water table. <br /> The soils at a depth of 12" have a percolation rate a�veraging 4 . 1 <br /> min/inch. Due to the clay soil , the liner is not nee��ed. <br /> A pumping chamber will need to be installed to lift the effluent to the <br /> treatment area. <br /> The manifold and supply line pipe must have back drainage to the pumping <br /> chamber. The distribution pipes shall have their ends capped. Be sure <br /> the rock and sand fill material are clean. The sod layer below the <br /> entire mounded area must be turned over, just break up the sod, be sure <br /> not to over . work. <br /> The power supply and switches must be located outside the manhole and <br /> pumping chamber in a weather proof enclosure. A warning device must be <br /> installed with a light and sound device , this is in case of a pump failure . <br /> (Mercury floats are a good m�thod) . <br /> CONT' D <br />
