Co . , �iN <br /> This On-Site Sewage Treat,>:ent System is Designed for a Type l, five <br /> bedroom home Designed in accordance with the Minnesota Pollution <br /> Control Agency Cha�ter 70E0 and local ordinances . <br /> This siLe has an existing Non-Conforming system which is less than <br /> 3 ' from the highest known saturated layer of soil (mottled soil ) . <br /> Soil Borings in the area oi the existing system indicated mottled <br /> soil at 18" to 30" below the surface . The existing tanks & pumping <br /> chamber may be used upon a�proval by the local Inspector . The <br /> tanks must be water tight. The manhole on the pumping chamber is <br /> a block type and must be replaced & surface runoff diverted away <br /> from the tanks if used . <br /> The soils on this site are a clay loam. Mottled Soil was located <br /> at 24" & 26" . Due to the seasonally saturated soil a Pressurized <br /> Mound System must be installed to treat septic effluent. The rock <br /> bed must be located at least 3 ' above the seasonally high water table. <br /> The soils at a depth of 12" have a percolation rate averaging <br /> 6 . 1 min/inch. <br /> A pump�ng chamber will need to be installed to lift the effluent <br /> to the treatment area . <br /> The property lines are approximated and must be located prior to <br /> installing the system to the south & east. <br /> The manifold and supply line pipe must have back drainage to the <br /> pumping chamber . The distribution pipes shall have their ends <br /> capped . Be sure the rock and sand fill material-+are clean. The <br /> sod layer below the entire mounded area must be turned over, just <br /> break up the sod, be sure not to over work. <br /> The power supply and switches must be located outside the manhole <br /> and pumping chamber in a weather proof enclosure . A warning device <br /> must be installed with a light and sound device, this is in case of <br /> a pump failure . <br /> CONT' D <br />
