MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, September 12, 2016 <br />7:00 o'clock p.m. <br />13. #16-3856 SARYAN CUISINE DEVELOPMENT, LLC, ON BEHALF OF PAUL AGRE <br />COMPANY, 2380 SHADYWOOD ROAD, CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (continued) <br />McMillan commented this building has been vacant for a long time and that the neighbors would like to <br />see the building utilized. McMillan stated this is a good opportunity and that she is in favor of the <br />proposal. <br />Walsh stated in his view it is a positive for the residents of Navarre. <br />Printup stated his understanding is that the owner could come back before the City for a liquor license, <br />which would reopen the parking issue. <br />Mattick indicated that is correct. Mattick stated the conditional use permit would be reopened at that <br />point and that the City could look at the parking again at that time. <br />Levang noted with a conditional use permit, the City is saying that this is a coffee/bageI shop forever. <br />Mattick stated it will be recorded against the land and that the use can last forever. <br />Walsh moved, Printup seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 6671, a Resolution Granting a <br />Conditional Use Permit for Coffee Bagel Retail Store Pursuant to Orono Municipal Code Section <br />78-764, File No. 16-3856. <br />Levang requested both property owners do their best to work out the parking situation to avoid any long- <br />term animosity. <br />VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />*14. #16-3857 GEORGE FUNK AND JUDY ROGOSHESKE, FINAL PLAT, CRYSTAL BAY <br />RETREAT (540 OLD CRYSTAL BAY ROAD) — RESOLUTION NO. 6672 <br />Levang moved, Walsh seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 6672, a Resolution Approving the <br />Plat of Crystal Bay Retreat, 540 Old Crystal Bay Road South, File No. 16-3857.
