RidingAcademy;Stabl� or barn,private; Stable or barn,public; Stockfarm; <br /> Use, accessory; Use, conditional. � <br /> 78-5: Purpose of the zoning code acknowledges that the character of Orono is <br /> changing from a rural agricultural community to a rural residential <br /> community,that residential use is primary, and that the continued use of land <br />' for farming and similar purposes will be protected by ordinance where <br /> sufficient acreage is available to allow such use to continue without conflict <br /> with the expanding residential use. This language has been in the preamble <br /> section of the Zoning Code since 1975. � � <br />, 78-303, 328, and 348: Conditional Uses section of the LR-lA, LR-1B and LR-1C <br /> lakeshore residential zoning districts. The language is identical in all three: <br /> � Part(3)a. discusses the acreage requirements for keeping horses. <br /> - Part(3)b. indicates the minimum acreage for farm animals is at least one acre <br /> for the dwelling and one acre for each animal unit. <br /> Part(3)c.requires that any building or structure associated with animals must <br /> be located more than 150 feet from the nearest adjacent residence and at least <br /> � 75 feet from the nearest lot line. <br /> Part(3)d. requires compliance with the provisions of Chapter 62. <br /> 78-394 and 419: Accesso ,r�es section of the RR-lA and RR-1B rural residential � <br /> zoning districts. The language is identical to that in the LR- district sections <br /> � noted above, except that as an accessory use, no conditional use permit is <br /> � required. <br />
