MINUTES OF THE ORONO COUNCIL MEETING OF APRIL 24, 1989 <br />#1368 TOM MCNELLIS <br />315 -355 WOODHILL ROAD <br />SUBDIVISION - LOT LINE <br />RESOLUTION #2621 <br />Mr. McNellis was <br />REARRANGEMENT <br />present for this matter. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson provided a brief review of <br />this matter. Mr. McNellis was now seeking approval of a lot line <br />rearrangement which was required with the approval of a variance <br />granted last Fall. The lot line rearrangement will provide the <br />required 50' front setback for the McNellis residence. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Nettles, seconded <br />Councilmember Peterson, to adopt Resolution #2621, approving the <br />metes and bounds subdivision of a lot line rearrangement. <br />Motion, Ayes =S, Nays =O, Motion passed. <br />#1376 DALE /CHRIS PALM <br />1710 SHADYWOOD ROAD <br />RESOLUTION OF DENIAL #2622* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Councilmember Callahan, to adopt Resolution #2622 denying <br />variances to Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.22, Subdivision 2, <br />requested by Chris and Dale Palm at 1710 Shadywood Road. Motion, <br />Ayes =S, Nays =O, Motion passed. <br />• #1393 WASHINGTON SCIENTIFIC, INC. <br />2605 WAYZATA BOULEVARD <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />RESOLUTION #2623 <br />Mr. Joe Pallansch, a representative of Washington Scientific <br />Industries, Inc., was present. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained that Washington <br />Scientific Industries was requesting approval of a conditional <br />use permit to spread contaminated soils to allow air stripping to <br />occur. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has approved the <br />proposal as being environmentally sound. The soil contaminant is <br />the same solvent used for dry cleaning. Once the solvent is <br />exposed to air it will volatilize. The applicants will then <br />grade and seed the area. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Callahan, seconded by <br />Councilmember Nettles, to adopt Resolution #2623, approving the <br />Conditional Use Permit for Washington Scientific Industries, <br />Inc.
