• <br />MINUTES OF THE ORONO COUNCIL MEETING OF FEBRUARY 27, 1989 <br />LMCD REPORT CONTINUED <br />Ms. Hurr replied that the LMCD had received "expertise" from the <br />DNR, but no commitment of financial contribution. Hennepin Parks <br />has given thought to purchasing a weed cutter to use on area <br />lakes. There will be an upcoming meeting to discuss this <br />possibility. <br />Councilmember Nettles asked about restrictions for pumping <br />water from Lake Minnetonka. Ms. Hurr explained that pumping from <br />the lake does not have a major impact on the lake level. <br />However, she stated that there may be a policy encouraging <br />persons not to pump from the lake. <br />Ms. Hurr asked for support from the Council and Mayor Grabek <br />regarding her reappointment to the Metropolitan Waste Control <br />Commission. <br />Mr. David Singer asked Ms. Hurr for any information she may <br />have concerning the issue of parking along County Road 51. Ms. <br />Hurr stated that the Comprehensive Plan would address the issue <br />of parking. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />. Mr. George Norling, presented written information to the <br />Mayor regarding a parking lot in Lord Fletcher's area. He also <br />gave information to Councilmember Goetten from a Mr. Dave <br />Peterson regarding traffic enforcement by the Orono Police <br />Department. <br />• <br />There were no further public comments. <br />ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />#1359 DAVID LINDSTROM <br />1315 WOODHILL AVENUE <br />VARIANCE <br />RESOLUTION #2582 <br />Mr. Lindstrom was present for this matter. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson informed the Council that Mr. <br />Lindstrom was seeking a front yard setback variance of 18'9 ". <br />There were no questions or comments from the applicant, nor <br />the City Council regarding this application. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Councilmember Nettles, to adopt Resolution #2582, approving the <br />front yard setback variance for David Lindstrom. Motion, Ayes =S, <br />Nays =O, Motion passed. <br />I <br />
