C] <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD JULY 11, 1988 <br />existing deck. It requires an average lakeshore setback, an <br />existing sideyard setback, which it's not going to further <br />encroach, and one foot building height variance. <br />Mayor Grabek questioned the walk -out feasibility and was advised <br />that the walkout grading aleady existed. Bernhardson added that <br />the house itself generally sits out of the 0 -75, it's the decks <br />that are in the 0 -75. There were no comments on behalf of the <br />Applicants. Councilmember Goetten had some questions for the <br />Applicants, but had met with them at a time prior to the meeting <br />and had nothing further to ask. • It was moved by Councilmember <br />Goetten and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to adopt Resolution <br />#2463 approving -variances. Motion, Ayes -4, Nays 0. Douglas <br />Johnson, per staff recommendation, Peterson seconded, all in <br />favor, motion passed. <br />#1278 RON TIMM <br />4496 NORTH SHORE DRIVE <br />VARIANCE <br />RESOLUTION #2464 <br />The Applicant, Ron Timm, was present for this meeting. <br />City Administrator °Bernhardson explained that this is a request <br />for a variance to average lakeshore setback, plus a hardcover <br />variance for construction of a deck. The hardcover variance <br />• request includes a proposal to reduce the existing from about 44% <br />down to about 35% in total; the Planning Commission recommended <br />approval. <br />Mayor Grabek inquired as to whether applicant had any comments or <br />questions regarding the recommendations of the Planning <br />Commission. Applicant stated that he had plans to reduce the <br />hardcover to less than the Commission recommended. Councilmember <br />Goetten commended Applicant on doing that, stating it usually is <br />the other way around. It was moved by Councilmember Peterson, <br />seconded by Councilmember Goetten to adopt Resolution #2464 <br />approving variances.
