MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD MAY 23, 1988 <br />(IMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT CONTINUED <br />Councilmember Sime to adopt Comprehensive Plan #2 <br />in the Highway 12 Corridor conditioned on <br />implementing zoning ordinance adoption and adopt <br />Resolution No. 2437 Adopting Comprehensive Plan #2. <br />Motion,- Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />ADDITIONAL ITEMS BROUGHT BEFORE THE COUNCIL <br />NOT LISTED ON THE AGENDA <br />Administrator Bernhardson stated there were two <br />additional items for Council's consideration. <br />11255 ORVILLE FISHER <br />1991 FAGERNESS POINT ROAD <br />Administrator Bernhardson stated Mr. Fisher has <br />decided to attach the shed to his house which was <br />located on his property in order to facilitate a <br />garage style door. <br />Assistant Planning & Zoning Administrator' Gaffron <br />stated this plan will increase the hardcover by an <br />additional 28 square feet that was not previously <br />approved. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson to accept this revision. <br />Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 1. Councilmember Goetten <br />voted nay stating concern for increased hardcover. <br />#1223 JOHN WALDRON <br />1951 CONCORDIA STREET <br />Administrator Bernhardson stated the Council had <br />approved a three foot exposed wall about three feet <br />anchored back into the bank with a slope down to <br />the lake. He has a July 1 deadline date to get his <br />construction done. He is now proposing to have two <br />sets of walls, one of which would be a three foot <br />high wall and another two foot high wall. This <br />design should provide more stability. <br />Engineer Cook concurred this would be a more stable <br />wall. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Callahan, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson to turn down the request. <br />Motion, Ayes 2, Nays 3. Motion fails. <br />Assistant Zoning Administrator stated this was <br />brought before the Council because Mr. Waldron had <br />applied for a building permit for the wall and the <br />design was different than the wall described in the <br />resolution adopted by Council on April 11. <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by <br />12 <br />
