MINUTES OF <br />#1211 NESLUND <br />THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 23, 1987 <br />CONTINUED <br />It was moved by Councilmember S„ime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetten, to adopt Resolution #2305 <br />approving the request per staff recommendation and <br />subject to the condition that the culvert underneath the <br />driveway shall be 24..inches in diameter. Motion, Ayes <br />5, Nays 0. <br />#1215 SMITH BAY MARINA <br />1955 SHORELINE DRIVE <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />RESOLUTION #2306 <br />Vern Larsen was present representing Mr. Toberman, owner <br />of Smith Bay Marina. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained the request for <br />a.variance and conditional use permit to construct a <br />seawall. The seawall consists of a non - galvanized <br />material. A photo of a similar seawall was shown. <br />Zoning Administrator Mabusth noted an additional <br />condition staff is recommending be incorporated into the <br />drafted resolution stating "in no case shall the <br />installation of a seawall result in any reclaimation of <br />land areas below the 929.4 elevation but shall be placed <br />at the normal shoreline elevation as shown on Exhibit P <br />entitled 'Site Plan Locating Retaining Wall'. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, to adopt Resolution #2306 <br />approving the seawall as proposed including the above <br />stated condition. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />#1219 ORONO COMMUITY CHURCH <br />770 OLD CRYSTAL BAY ROAD <br />AFTER -THE -FACT CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />RESOLUTION #2307 <br />A representative from the Orono Community Church was <br />present for this matter. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained the request for <br />an after - the -fact conditional use permit for the <br />operation of the Busy Beaver Day Care Center within the <br />Orono Community Church. Council conceptually approved <br />the request at their October 26th meeting, and Planning <br />Commission recommended approval at at their November <br />16th meeting. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Callahan, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, to adopt Resolution #2307 <br />approving the after - the -fact conditional use permit. <br />Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />15 <br />
