MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD MAY 11, 1987 <br />#1130 KEN AND RENEE EGGERT* <br />1371 REST POINT ROAD <br />VARIANCE <br />RESOLUTION #2173 <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetten, to adopt Resolution #2173 <br />granting variances per staff recommendation. Motion, <br />Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />#1131 GUENTHER NOELTING <br />1060 TONKAWA ROAD <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />RESOLUTION #2174 <br />Guenther and Gertrud Noelting were present for this <br />matter. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained the request for <br />a conditional use permit to construct a permanent <br />platform that is anchored or tied to the adjacent lake <br />bank which consists of excavation within 75 feet of the <br />lakeshore and concrete footing's, of which platform will <br />sustain a temporary dock. <br />Assistant Zoning Administrator Gaffron clarified that <br />this platform will be over the existing rip -rap area. <br />Mrs. Noelting stated that they had two permanent docks <br />destroyed by ice and feel this proposal may solve their <br />problem. <br />City Engineer Cook recommended the use of a silt fence <br />to control erosion during construction. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Callahan, seconded3 by <br />Councilmember Peterson, to adopt Resolution #2174 <br />approving the conditional use permit as proposed subject <br />to supervision by staff. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />#1134 PAUL BASZUCKI <br />250 WAKEFIELD ROAD <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />RESOLUTION #2175 <br />Mr. Baszucki was not present for this matter. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained the request for <br />a conditional use permit to excavate a decorative pond <br />area that is not a designated wetland. The DNR and City <br />Engineer Cook have recommended approval. <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by Councilmember <br />Sime, to adopt Resolution #2175 approving the <br />conditional use permit.
